9:30 am “Is there an App for that".
Todd Quitno, ASGCA, Senior Project Architect, Lohmann Golf Designs, Inc. Balancing the use of technology and good old-fashioned elbow grease in the design and maintenance of golf courses. Todd plans to cover real-world situations that he’s encountered working with a variety of different clubs and how technology can help sell.
11:00 am “Fairway Re-grass: Sell the Results, Not the Project”
Dustin Riley, CGCS, Superintendent, Oconomowoc Golf Club
After successfully completing an in house re-grass of his fairways and greens. Dustin is going to provide some insight that Assistant Superintendents can use to help sell a large scale project to their club; considering the methods, materials and madness.
11:45am “Changing Times for a Changing Golf Course”
Steve Schmidt, Superintendent, Butte des Morts Golf Club
Steve has been a Superintendent at Butte des Morts for 30 years and in review he will look back to the beginning. He will cover how changing maintenance practices and course conditions have brought about the need for golf course renovations.

1:15-2:45 pm “Constructing the Path to Championship Golf”
Chris Zugel, Superintendent, Whistling Straits Golf Course
Joe Sell & Emily Kucksdorf, Assistant Superintendent- Straits Course
This management team panel will discuss the need for on-going changes to a championship golf course, the challenges and benefits. Also hear about some of daily challenges faced while maintaining high standards of golf conditions during construction.
